Purple Oranges is a small web design studio based in Auckland, New Zealand. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle your information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

• Information you give us through our contact form or by email: your name, email address, business name, your current website, and anything you write in your message.
• Basic technical information that our website and hosting collect automatically, such as your IP address and browser type, kept in standard server logs.

Why we collect it

We use your information to reply to your enquiry, build you a sample of your website, provide our services, and keep our own records. We do not use it for anything else without asking you.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We only pass it to the service providers we use to run our business, and only as far as needed:

• Your enquiry is delivered to our email, hosted on Google Workspace.
• Form submissions are processed through our automation tool (n8n).
• Our website is hosted on Vercel.
• We load fonts from Google Fonts, which involves a request to Google's servers.

These providers may store data outside New Zealand. We choose reputable providers who take security seriously.

Cookies and tracking

Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy first.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we need it to respond to you and to run our business. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at hello@purpleoranges.co.nz and we will help. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
